Zoo Master Plan
On November 6, 2012, El Paso voters approved $470 million worth of improvements to parks, libraries, museums, downtown and the El Paso Zoo. On the ballot was Question 1: The issuance of $245,000 general obligation bonds for park, recreation, open space and zoo improvement … ” which received an overwhelming 75% response in favor of approving the Quality of Life Bond Issue. The El Paso Zoo was approved for $50 million to complete the Master Plan that is the framework for moving the Zoo forward in an exciting direction.
