Bug Fest is Back! Sponsored by Truly Nolen, the El Paso Zoo invites visitors to celebrate the joy of bugs!

The Event Pavilion will be transformed into a Bug Educational Fair buzzing with all kinds of bugs and insects. You can get up-close to these creepy crawlers and learn about their morphology, behaviors, and habitats.

Date: Saturday & Sunday, May 17-18, 2025 
Time: 10 am - 3 pm

Children will step into the world of spiders, scorpions, crickets, Madagascar hissing cockroaches and many more creepy bugs and insects. Learn about the critical roles these bugs play in our world and better understand these often-misunderstood creatures.

Be part of the Bug-Cooking demonstration! Local celebrities and Truly Nolen will hold a Bug Tasting & Cook-Off Contest. Learn how to cook and eat bugs, which are considered a delicacy in many parts of the world. Guests will enjoy interesting cuisine samples that include scorpions, crickets, ants, and giant water bugs!
